Today in her blog she talked about writing down the things our children do, even if at times they don't seem cute, because we all need to "cherish the little things. For the little things are the spice in life."
I don't know this family personally, and I don't have children, but I have a family that I love very much, and I have a very loving husband, whom I love more than he will ever know!!!
I would like to take a few minutes write down, I guess, a list of thankfulness, gratitude, and things I cherish about the people that mean the most to me!
Dustin: Thank you for always loving me! Thank you for being my best friend! Thank you for being the best daddy to our future children, and thank you for being a great example to everyone around you! I'm so glad that I can look to you for strength, love, and even a good laugh! I'm glad we can be together forever!
Mom: Thank you for being the first to love me! Thank you for loving me for me! Thank you for being my best friend! Thank you for taking the time to raise me! Thank you for all of your advice! Thank you for all of the life lessons! Thank you for our "hot tub" nights! :) Thank you for teaching me to love the finer things in life: chocolate, hot baths, Napoleon Dynamite, and sleeping in! Thank you for your testimony...it has helped strengthen mine!
Dad: Thank you for being my first "boyfriend"! Thank you for being my daddy! Thank you for being my protector, spider killer, and date scarer! Thank you for teaching me how to mow the lawn, and even drive a car! :) Thank you for all the father's blessings! Thank you for letting me jump on you! :) I'm glad the first time I ever snuck into a movie was with you! :)
Denny: Thank you for being my hero! Thank you for being my favorite brother! Thank you for teaching me how to make a killer milkshake! I guess as much as I don't appreciate this, thank you for teaching me the art of dutch ovening! :) Thank you for taking us girlies out on brother-sister dates! Thank you for buying us lunch "just because!" Thank you for loving me unconditionally even though I am sometimes a brat!
Kimberlee: Thank you for being my favorite older sister! Thank you for letting me put my stinky feet on your face! (I love this picture!) Thank you for being my listener, shoulder to cry on, and travel buddy! Thank you for being a good example! Thank you for not getting too mad when I hit the red button in Japan! :) Thank you for letting me help with the suprise party! (will you email me those pictures of that by the way?) Thank you for marrying a good man so I could have a good brother-in-law! Thank you for letting me steal your clothes! :)
Yellie: Thank you for just being so cute! Thank you for being my partner in crime! Thanks for being my shopping buddy! Thanks for being my snuggle buddy! Thanks for letting me steal your shirts...and pants....and shoes...and hair stuff! :) Thank you for loving me even though I stabbed you in the head with a pencil when we were little! (I think I dropped a shelf on you too!) ..sorry! Thank you for being there to give me a love, even when no one else noticed that I needed one! Thank you for being the best little sister anyone could have! Thank you for sticking to your standards...you are a great example!
Kai: Thank you for being in our family! Thank you for marrying my sister! Thank you for being so great to her and even to us! Thank you for cooking us ham fried rice...it is delicious! Thank you for letting me drive your corvette when I had only driven a stick shift once...and my dad was scared after! Thank you for just being you!
Pepe: You can be considered into the fam too! Thank you for being such a cool kid to be around! Thank you for surviving the Kay clan! Thank you for being a good example! Thank you for the smiles you put on everyones faces! Thank you for coming to visit us in Cali! Thank you for letting me tease you all the time! Thank you for being my sudo "little brother!"
Grandma LaNae & Grandpa Arnold: Thank you for always being so close to us and loving each of us individually! Thank you for teaching me to knit and crochet! Thank you for being the mother of my mother! Thank you for your love and examples!
Grandma Ev & Papa: Thank you for always letting me come and bug you just because I wanted a sandwhich! Thank you for teaching me to make sure I had oil in my car! Thank you for letting me come over just because I wanted to take advantage of the "suck master" (Shopvac)! Thank you for your family recipes! Thank you for loving me!
Ludene: Thank you for being the sweetest mother-in-law anyone could ask for! Thank you for being the mother of my husband! Thank you for rasing him right! Thank you for being so sweet and loving me as one of your own! Thank you for being such a strong, faithful woman! Thank you for your example! Thank you WAY in advance for babysitting our kids! :)
Eddie: Thank you for being the worlds greatest father-in-law! Thank you for raising yor son right! Thank you for teaching him a hard work ethic, a love for cars, children, and family! Thank you for letting us come to Fast Eddie's Farm! Thank you for your phone calls!
well...I could go on and on and on, but I better end this now! I am so thankful for the people that have blessed my life, and I cherish the things that we have done together and the memories that we have made. I think that the one thing that I have learned from reading Stephanie's blog is that I need to take the time and look at life through a child's eyes. I will try to look a things in a more positive light, and look at life like I am looking at it for the very first time! I will look for the beauty instead of what's wrong with it, and enjoy what I have now instead of what I'm missing! I guess we all need to realize that life here on earth is short, and we need to cherish the moments that we have now with the people we love most. Recently, I have learned that my husband's Aunt Donna's health has been slowly declining, but I am so blessed that I was able to meet her! She means so much to my husband, and I am lucky to have met such a wonderful woman that has meant so much to the one I love! My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family!
Well, thank YOU for making it all the way through my long blog...enough of my rambles!

I loved that post how you individually thanked the most important people in your life. It's funny how other people's tragedies make us realize what we have and not to take it for granted. Thanks for reminding me of that! :)
That picture of you and Kimberlee is HILARIOUS!!!! I was laughing out loud! So cute! You do have a great family, I'm rather fond of them myself. This is such a tragic story! I read though her blog after seeing it on yours and was in tears. They live so close to me out here. Such a sad sad thing to happen. I've been squeezing my little guy tighter since.
How sweet was your blog. It is amazing how such a tragic thing can touch SOOO many people in such a positive way. "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." Ok, so have you gone to Target and found the dress that I think will be perfect for you! wink!!
